Marcus payed the driver and stepped out of the yellow cab, being careful not to dirty his shoes in the gutter as he stepped out. He waited for Mark to join him and sat down at the table farthest in the corner of the interior. Sparing one single glance at the Huge Black Man in the nice suit, and the Blond American man. He couldn't hear a word they were saying, which was weird. He registered it and saved it for later though, he had more pressing business to attend to.
"yes waiter, one hot chocolate for me and a dish of mint chip ice cream, yes i realize what temperature it is, thats why i'm getting the hot chocolate...and for my new friend here.?"

The ride there was pretty quite, but other then their real business, there was nothing to really talk about. When they arrived he followed the kid to his cafe and sat across from him. He noticed the two at the other table, but took no heed to them. Mark heard the kids order and eyed him at the corner of his range of sight, wondering if he thought he was going to pay for Mark or something. When the waiter looked at him he nodded his head but turned his attention to the man. "Umm... I'll just have a coffee, medium I guess... and just black." He smiled meekly to the man, his face straining to adjust to the un-usual position. He then waited for him to leave. When he was gone, he turned to the boy. "Look, I don't even know your name..."

"Marcus, my name is Marcus and yes, you're very right, i am differtent. More so than my money or my IQ or my upbringing would account for. But tell me please, how different do yo think i am, and how so?" He stirred the Hot Chocolate when it arrived and looked at Mark, interest sparked in his face and eyes for the first time in weeks. He could see ahead of time what he would say, but that would be too much work. He dipped his spoon into the ice cream and returned with a small scoop, which he relocated to his mouth for further investigation.

Mark was took his time with socialization, or even just talking to most anybody. Today was no exception, he allowed himself several second to ponder and examine what was asked of the boy... Marcus. He quickly knew what he wanted to say to him, but took his time to make sure what would come out of his mouth. Physically, the hesitation may have seemed awkward, but he didn't care. "When I look at people, I see more then just the people, I feel more. I looked at you and knew the potential was there. It's like when a book is used and reused, sometimes you can't tell a book by the cover. If it's a beat up old thing, then that may mean that people have just used it a lot, that it's had a strong affect on plenty of different people. I kind of see the same thing when I see your... mind. You've used it... trained it like I did, and now you're beginning to affect things..." He took a second to simply swallow. Then stared at his coffee cup as he spoke. "I look for kids like you... and yeah, there are others. It's tough for me to find the others. You were easy, you... use... the same thing I do, I can see that. But the others not so much." Now he looked up at Marcus's face. "I feel like... I'll need your help. Like they'll need your help."

He sipped his hot chocolate gingerly and looked at him blankly "well, its not the most eloquent speech i've ever heard, but it gets the job done, no? I suppose trying to appeal to my sense of honor or heroism would work most of the time, but thats not my thing. Those jobs are for suckers, losers who don't care about themselves. I'm gonna tell you right now, i'm the most important person in my life. No one else would make me want to risk my life for anything. Now if i understand what you are, well is suppose trying, to tell me, as i assume i do, then it's a very risky business. Why not just mind my own business and go about my boring life, making money, spending money, changing the world in m own little way. I'm going to need more of a reason to help you than some misguided sense of justice."
He spoooned a little of his hot chocolate into his ice cream, and stirred it together in a green-brown mush with chocolate chips. He continued eating it little by little as he awaited Marks response.

Mark heard the kid speak and found himself to be quickly getting annoyed. He'd pulled away from the barrier of intimidation to give this kid a shot at getting to trust him, but the little guy was kind of smart. Almost too smart for his own good. Mark thought of re-inserting the measure of respect demanding fear into the boy, but tried his patience and kept going as he was. He gave himself a second to think of how to response. The pause was again, almost awkward as he drew in a long breath before speaking. He chose his words well, with a calculative mind. "Listen, you will do this. I'm not telling your to jump out and defend any of these people's rights, all I'm saying is that you know who's who. Trust me, when the shit hits the fan you'll need to know who you can trust, and these people are gunna be the best ones to go for. You'll relate to them better, and help them more. To every one else you'll just be a strange freak." He leaned in now, talking low with his hands gesturing along with his words. "Now I'm not saying you jump in front of a buss for any of these guys, I'm just saying you look out for them, and figure out who's who, and then go ahead and tell me too. Maybe in a while we can get together and... idk, talk about what ya'll are feeling or what ever. I don't care, but we should figure out a game plan should any shit ever hit the fan." At that he sat back and smiled, and new thought hitting him. "Besides, how much do you think I care about this job, huh? I could make your high school career suck; at least for how ever long you think it'll take you to graduate..."

"Well, you hit the nail on the head." he put his, well to call it food would be a lie... he put his mess aside. "I dont know when, and i dont know how, but i can feel it, and its getting stronger everyday. The shit is gonna hit the proverbial fan, and i know its getting closer fast. Things are accelerating out of control, and someone would have to be a fool to try to get in the way of things." a moment of silence. "I'm no fool, but i value entertainment and suspense. If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm precognitive, i can feel, and occasionally see the future. I know where i wanna be when things get interesting. So I'll do it, I'll try to find out who some others are, and I'll let you know."
