A lot of information about the world we live in is, as of now, up in the air. This game takes place some where between five to fifteen years from now, in America. Our technology has advanced slightly, but it seems our knowledge of the world has varied or slacked resoundingly.
Recently it has been scientifically proven that powerful mutants may live among us. Sixty or so years ago the world of witchcraft experienced a seemingly limitless, and little known, power spike. Experimentation has concluded that through the focus of one's mind, we can reach and achieve the use of more brainpower then the simple 10% it was assumed regular humans posses. The studiously divine practices of the some religious individuals has begun to pay off in powerful ways. In dozens of ways the world is being slowly effected by some unknown turning of the universe.
All these people are finding out all these things about themselves, but in comparison to the general masses, they are faced with great tides of resistance. Few can accept the fact that change is inevitable, that in the great lapses of time that coincides with space, there is chaos and fluidity. Thousands of years ago your very own seat may have been underwater. Hundreds of years ago a Merlin and his dragon may have existed merely to fade away into untraceable dust. Twenty years ago your parents may have been drugged out swingers. Nothing is constant and today the traditional and accepted norm of society is on the verge of not only a radical alteration, but also of realizing that the capacity for change exists.
(( Here instated is the generic opening for what us role players will turn into one of the coolest role played comic book universes ever.))
