Full Name: Mona Carter
Nickname: Lisa
DOB/Age: 22
Physical Description: Mona is of an average height, about 5'5'' and has an athletic build. Her hair is bark brown with red highlights and rests gently on her shoulders. She has always thought about growing it out but every time she tries she just ends up cutting it again because it gets in the way of almost everything she does. Her eyes are emerald green with a hint of of pale blue around the edges. Most people say they look like little lakes and guys trying to pick up on her say they want to go swimming in them for hours. Her skin always has a dark tan to it, even in the winter, and it always looks silky smooth. She waxes her legs, armpits and eyebrows as often as is necessary and moisturizes every day. She has long slender fingers with thick nails that she keeps short so they don't break. On her left hand she has one knobby knuckle on her index finger from when she broke it playing volleyball when she was 15. On her right arm is a tribal tattoo with a surf board in the middle of it. On her right calf is a fairly nasty scar she got while playing ice hockey. Her toes, like her fingers, are fairly long but with one little oddity; the index toes are slightly longer than the big toes. She is most often seen in shorts of some color, a tank top and dark blue Keen sandals.
Personality: She is spunky and tough. However, even though most have her pegged as a tom boy she cherishes the fact that she is a woman and makes sure to keep herself up. She takes most things head on and is always willing to step up and lead. Her one weak spot is her family; she'll do anything for them and support them on whatever they are doing, no matter if its right or wrong.
History: Mona was not born into a wealthy family but they made due with what they had. She lived with her Mom, Dad and two little brothers in a small three bedroom, one bath house on the outskirts of Loganville in a half-way decent neighborhood. During the school year she would always help her Mom make everyone's lunches (usually PB&J and a juice box) in the morning and then help with dinner and homework in the afternoon. Weekends however, were strictly for play. That was one of her parents most important rules. The whole family would go to one of the nearby parks and play soccer, baseball, Frisbee, tag or whatever else they could think of. Or if they didn't want to go to the park they would do stuff around the house. On special occasions her parents would pack them all into their sedan and take them to the lake that was about an hour away. They would spend the whole day swimming, exploring and most importantly... eating. Summer was the best though. As long as they checked in every couple of hours, stayed out of trouble and came home for dinner every night, they could run around town on their bikes and do whatever they wanted.
Life went on like this a long time. Once Mona got into high school though things changed a little bit. She still tried to help her Mom out as much as possible but tougher classes meant more homework for herself and less time for her little brothers. Weekends were a little different too. Instead of trips to the park it was soccer practice, or tennis practice or even snowboarding when winter time came around. Even though her schedule was tight she still made time for her family and they stayed close.
Her Junior year in high school is when things really flipped on their head. Her grandpa on her Moms side had been battling cancer for long time and died in September. Her grandma was so consumed with grief that she started to become ill stopped taking care of herself. Because of this Mona's parents decided that since they had been able to chisel out quite a living for themselves that they would sell their small house and but a bigger one with an extra room for Grandma.
After the move everything went well for a while but then the toll of buying a new home and taking care of an ailing grandmother started to show. Mona's parents started to argue more and more, mostly about finances and what was best for Grandma. Mona got more involved at school with sports and clubs and the boys were left to themselves most of the time. At the end of her Junior year, things were at a breaking point. It was at this time that Mona decided to step up and do what needed to be done. She started taking care of her grandma more so that her parents could have some time to themselves. She made sure to watch movies with her brothers and check in on their lives everyday. She started planning family outings and making arrangements for her grandmother to visit old friends and get out of the house more. She even got a part time job at a pizza place to help pay for her own stuff so that her parents wouldn't have to worry about it. When Senior year rolled around things at home were better than ever and school was going great. She aced all of her classes and was one of the strongest players on her teams. Due to her excellent performance on the field and in the classroom she was approached with several full ride scholarship offers for outstanding colleges in her area.
