He decided to walk day; the air was crisp on this New York morning and Mr. Sky enjoyed the cold on his face. Plus, his office was only a 3 mile walk.
It went through a park.
Fastening the last buckle on his coat Clint shrugged his messenger bag over his head and onto shoulder, the young man walked to his front door armed his security and walked out the door. A loud beep approved of his absence.
The cold morning frost hit him instantly. He broke into a small smile. Taking the five steps down to the cold concrete Clint turned left and walked.
The sidewalks were crowded in the City of New York and Clint was happy to leave the masses of people when he reached the head of the park trail. The serenade of colored leaves highlighted the beauty of nature in the park. It was a wonderful oasis in the urban desert. It was one of Clint's greatest soft spots as he enjoyed crunching on the red, orange, and brown leaves and watched bushy grey squirrels scurry with their last minute preperations for the coming winter.
There were a few others who were in the park. There was an old couple sitting on a bench feeding small birds with a bag of bread crumbs, a man playing catch with his son, and a very attractive blonde powerwalker. The powerwalker was walking in Clint's direction and seemed to be checking him out. However, as they got near she looked away in embarrassment, and in doing so slightly bumped into Clint.
"Oops, I'm sorry," she apologized and continued.
But before she was more than three feet away Clint wipped around, Upper arm pressure points...1...2
A small leather wallet fell from the womans right hand and onto the paved walk way. The woman's right arm lay limp at her side as she backed up in horror from Clint. The young man bent over and picked up his wallet, "I believe this is mine," he looked up and glared at the woman, "Get outta here." There was no need for a second warning.
37 minutes later Clinton Sky had arrived at his office complex without any more interuptionHes. He walked into the building and up 2 flights of stairs. At the top there was a door with a small scanner besides the handle. As Clint reached into his coat pocket for his badge he looked up and waved to the security camera, "Hi Tina." Then pressing his badge against the scanner there was a soft click announcing the door was unlocked.
Opening the door Agent Sky walked in and waved to very pretty burnette at the secretary desk, "Hello Tina, what do I got today?"
"Hello Clint, I think you only have one message today." She replied with a bright smile, "We have that blend you really like today, the coffee should be ready in a few moments."
Only one message....? "Oh, thank you Tina, you're my favorite secretary," Clint said as he dissappeared into his closed office.
"I'm you're only secretary," She called back to him laughing.
"Yeah whatever," he shouted and then quickly pop his head out of his office doorway. "Hey Tina how's your dad?"
"Great! Doctor says I can take him home tomorrow!" The soft features of the young woman's face lit up as she related the good news.
"Great," Clint said before his head vanished again. He liked Tina, she was one of the few people's he enjoyed being around more than 2 hours at a time. The young agent dropped his bag next to his desk and plopped into his swivel arm chair. There was a small white envelope that wasn't there last Friday. So Clint picked that up first.
It read:
Agent Sky,
You have been temporarily reassigned. The SLA [Security Location Agency] has lent you to another Government agency for your skill and talent. Only a select few were picked as specific qualifications were required for this assigment. Due to the secrecy of this assignment and the branch you are being assigned to, I cannot provide you with any information other than be prepared to leave New York for an extended period of time. You should be contacted by this agency shortly. That is all. Good luck Clint.

Ah, so that's why this is my only message. Clinton thought as he set the letter back onto the desk.
"Here's that coffee Clint," Tina came in with a large mug of steaming goodness.
"Ah thanks Tina," He said reaching up and accepting the coffee, "That dress really looks good on you."
"Ah you're too sweet," Tina blushed and she turned to leave, but before she was out of the office she said, "and you're my favorite agent Clint."
Clinton Sky smiled.
